R. Chadwick Moore

Managing Director and Founder

Chad Moore is a seasoned hospitality executive with more than 24 years of experience. He is the managing director and founder of Beacon Hospitality, which focuses on lodging construction, lodging management, and real estate development. Projects currently developed under the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham flag include the Georgetown, Milford, and Rehoboth Beach, DE locations. The first project, the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham – Georgetown, DE was awarded not only the Microtel of the year Award but also Wyndham’s Hotel of the Year, chosen out of 4500 plus properties, in just its second year of operation.  The Georgetown Microtel also repeated as Microtel of the Year two years later. Each of the three properties have been awarded “Best of the Best” each year, where the top 10% of Microtels within the brand for every year are eligible.

Prior to founding Beacon, Mr. Moore served as general manager for The Bellmoor Inn and Spa for 14 years, which has been recognized and named to the Zagat’s list of US Top 100 Hotels, Resorts and Spas. He also served as a director for Coastal Properties I, LLC, a hospitality holding company. Mr. Moore also served on the Board of Directors for the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and is also a member of the Small Business Alliance of the DSCC, serving as Co-Chair between 2011-2013.  Mr. Moore also served on the Board of Directors for the Rehoboth Beach Main Street from 2003-2012 and was Vice President from 2004-2008. Mr. Moore was a gubernatorial appointee to The Delaware Work Force Investment Board of Directors as well as being appointed to the Wyndham’s Microtel Franchise Advisory Committee. Chad Moore lives in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware with his wife and four children.

Ernie Felici, Jr.

Chief Operating Officer

Ernie Felici Jr joined Beacon Hospitality in 2022 as Chief Operating Officer, but had been involved in an advisory role for Beacon Hospitality since 2007 in his previous employment as a Commercial Real Estate Broker of Record and Advisor at Cushman & Wakefield of Delaware, Inc.  Joining C&W in 2006, Mr. Felici focused his efforts on the sale and leasing of corporate and commercial assets throughout Delaware.  He assisted Mr. Moore with the acquisition of the parcels for all three Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham (Georgetown, Milford & Rehoboth) and acted as Project Management lead for both Milford and Rehoboth Microtels.  Mr. Felici is currently responsible for the oversight of the operations of all Beacon properties and their management teams as well as expanding the portfolio footprint into the future.  

Mr. Felici graduated from Villanova University and now serves as Immediate Past President of the Dewey Beach Lions Club and a member of the Sussex Economic Development Action Committee “SEDAC”, an economic development committee for Delaware’s largest County, where he also held positions as President and Vice President. Mr. Felici currently resides in Rehoboth Beach with his wife.

Karen J. Brown

Chief Financial Officer

Karen J. Brown work experience has been split between working for Certified Public Accounting firms for 23 years and in the hospitality industry for 25 years.  The Certified Public Accountants, Karen was employed by were Love, Mason & Company in Pittsburgh, PA (2 years), Smoak, Davis & Nixon in Jacksonville, FL (2 years), Jones & Company in Rehoboth Beach, De (17 years), and Progar & Company in Lewes, DE (2 years).  Ms. Brown made a transition to hospitality, where she was the General Manager of the Admiral Hotel in Rehoboth Beach, DE for 13 years.  When the Admiral was sold to Beacon Hospitality in 2008 and became the Admiral on Baltimore, Ms. Brown remained the General Manager for 9 more years.  In 2020, Ms. Brown was promoted to Chief Financial Officer of Beacon Hospitality.

Annabelle Petriella

Interior Design and Construction

Annabelle has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Washington & Lee University and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University. Mrs. Petriella earned her NCIDQ certification in 2007, the official licensing body for all US jurisdictions requiring licensure for interior designers.  Mrs. Petriella spent 15 years in the high-end residential design field in Washington DC and New York City.  She has spent the past seven years in the hospitality design field, first as a Senior Design Manager for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, and then as an interior design project manager/owners rep for Beacon Hospitality from 2020.

Mary Susan Jones

Director of Sales & Revenue Management

Mary Susan Jones has a degree in hotel, motel, & restaurant management and is a member of Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Honor Society.  The start of Ms. Jones’ hotel management career began for Bay Shore Development Corporation in Ocean City, Maryland from 1998 to 2017.  In October 2017 she joined the Beacon Hospitality team where she was the General Manager for the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Georgetown, Delaware.  In 2022, Ms. Jones’ began her current role as the Director of Group Sales & Revenue Management for Beacon Hospitality’s portfolio of three Microtels (Georgetown, Milford & Rehoboth Beach).  In Ms. Jones’ 24 plus years of hospitality experience, 15 of which have been in senior management level at the property level, she has lead two separate franchise: The Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel (2015-2016) and The Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham ( 2018-2019), both to win Hotels of the Year for each franchise, 5 consecutive Best of the Best awards along with 4 perfect consecutive 100% on annual quality assurance inspections for the Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham in Georgetown.
